Just got me a new monitor

You weren't kidding. That is a pretty distinct line there.
My first one came (30" Dell) with a blue cloud that was about 6" x 8". The next one didn't work, period! The last one they forgot to send it to me.
I called them up three weeks later and they were "do not worry, it shipped today".

Right!

It seems that we are the QC for everything now. It is cheaper for the corps that way. They just ship it right off the line and you get to figure it out.

Update:

The replacement monitor was delivered to my local UPS store today. I went there and when they showed me the box I saw the "refurbished" sticker on it. So, with much trepidation I inspected the "refurbished" monitor and found that it was totally screwed.

The front bezel was so scratched up that it looked like they had set it face down on sand paper and spun it in circles. The back of the monitor had a huge circular scratch from one side to the other. The base mount also had a huge scratch on it.

Needless to say I refused it. I contacted Samsung and they said that since they no longer make that model a refurbished one was my only option. I said I was going to return it to where I had purchased it for a replacement and they said that was fine with them.

So I then contacted Newegg and got a RMA but they said I was going to have to pay for the return shipping to them. When I told them that I had purchased an extended warranty they then admitted that I would not have to pay for shipping. 20 Minutes later I got an email with a prepaid shipping label.

Now I have to return it tomorrow, and wait who knows how many days to get a new one.

Shorting you like that Para is really low. To think you wouldn't notice. Assholes.

You normally can't fault their TV's and monitors though, sounds like bad luck.
